Editor-in-Chief

Megan Harper

Megan Harper is the Editor-in-Chief and co-founder of ANewsTime. She began her career as an editorial assistant at HuffPost in 2013, where she worked across the news and politics desk during one of digital journalism's most formative periods. She later moved into a section editor role at Vox Media, overseeing a small team of writers covering technology policy and culture. After nearly a decade in newsrooms, she launched ANewsTime in 2025 with a clear mission -- build an editorially independent news platform that combines rigorous reporting standards with the speed modern readers expect. Megan sets the editorial tone, approves publishing standards, and works directly with every writer on the team to ensure accuracy and depth across all categories.

Marcus Holloway

Technology & Gaming Writer

Marcus Holloway joined ANewsTime as its lead Technology and Gaming writer after two years contributing to PCMag and Tom's Guide, where he covered consumer hardware, GPU releases, and the competitive gaming industry. He developed his technical grounding studying Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin, which gives his reporting an edge when breaking down complex topics like AI architecture or semiconductor supply chains for general audiences. At ANewsTime, Marcus covers everything from artificial intelligence and cybersecurity to gaming culture and the business of Big Tech. He is one of the few writers working in digital news today who can explain a transformer model and a frame rate benchmark in the same article without losing the reader.

Priya Anand

Science & Education Writer

Priya Anand covers science and education for ANewsTime, translating dense academic research into stories that general readers can actually engage with. She got her start in editorial at a Boston-based science publication before contributing pieces to EdSurge on the education technology beat. Her biology background from Boston University gives her the vocabulary to read primary research papers directly rather than relying solely on press releases -- a distinction that shows in her reporting. At ANewsTime, Priya covers space exploration, climate science, biotech breakthroughs, and the rapidly shifting landscape of online learning and workforce development. She believes the gap between what researchers discover and what the public understands is one of the most fixable problems in modern media.

James Calloway

Business & Automotive Writer

James Calloway covers business and automotive news at ANewsTime with a reporting style built around data first, narrative second. He began his career writing about financial markets and small business trends for regional business outlets in Chicago, then pivoted into automotive journalism as the EV transition started reshaping the entire industry. His pieces have appeared as contributions to Forbes' digital network and The Drive, focusing specifically on supply chain economics and the policy environment around electric vehicles. At ANewsTime, James tracks stock markets, personal finance trends, earnings reports, and the automotive industry's ongoing transformation -- from legacy OEM struggles to the rise of new EV entrants. He holds an economics degree from the University of Illinois which means he reads earnings calls for fun.

Danielle Reyes

Entertainment & Lifestyle Writer

Danielle Reyes covers entertainment and lifestyle at ANewsTime from her base in Los Angeles, which puts her closer to the industry she covers than almost any other writer on the team. She began her career at BuzzFeed's entertainment desk during its peak traffic years, learning how to write for digital audiences at scale before the industry consolidated. She later contributed lifestyle and wellness pieces to Refinery29 and Well+Good, developing a voice that takes culture seriously without taking itself too seriously. At ANewsTime, Danielle covers streaming television, film, celebrity news, wellness trends, and the full spectrum of how people actually live -- from home design to mental health to what everyone is watching on a Friday night. She writes with warmth and cultural awareness and has strong opinions about which streaming service has the best original programming.

Tyler Okafor

Sports, Travel & Culture Writer

Tyler Okafor is the most versatile writer on the ANewsTime team, covering sports, travel, and food and culture with equal fluency -- a combination that sounds unusual until you read his work and realize how naturally the three connect. He started his career covering college football and NBA basketball for regional sports outlets in Georgia, developing the fast-turnaround instincts that sports journalism demands. A year spent traveling through West Africa and Southeast Asia shifted his focus, and he returned with bylines in Conde Nast Traveler's digital edition and Eater covering food culture and destination travel. At ANewsTime he brings all three beats together, moving between NFL analysis on Monday and a restaurant trend piece on Thursday without missing a step. He is a former college track athlete who believes sports, food, and travel are all fundamentally the same story told in different languages.
